What is Fucaso?

Fucaso (Equecabtagene Autoleucel) is an advanced, fully-human anti-BCMA CAR-T cell therapy approved for refractory/relapsed multiple myeloma. It utilizes a lentiviral vector to genetically modify autologous T cells. The CAR design incorporates a fully-human single-chain variable fragment (scFv), a CD8α hinge and transmembrane region, and domains for 4-1BB co-stimulation and CD3ζ activation. 

Through meticulous molecular structure optimization and extensive functional assessments both in vitro and in vivo, Fucaso demonstrates rapid, robust efficacy along with exceptional long-term persistence in the body. This enables patients with multiple myeloma to achieve deeper and more durable remissions, offering sustained protection and care.

Efficacy of Fucaso

The FUMANBA-1 study, conducted across multiple sites in China, included 103 patients with relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma. Updated results were presented at ASCO 2023 (Abstract 8025), with a median follow-up of 13.8 months (range: 0.4–27.2 months).

Where is FUCASO provided?

In China, Fucaso is only provided at certified treatment centers, these centers/hospitals usually are leading hospitals in the region, where the medical staff are highly skilled in managing multiple myeloma, and are specially trained to take care of you during the entire CAR T cell therapy process.

You should plan to stay at the certified treatment center for at least one week following the infusion, and you’ll have several appointments before and after the treatment. Your treatment team will advise you on how close you need to be to a certified healthcare facility during the first four weeks after the infusion.
