Zevor-cel (Zevorcabtagene autoleucel) is a BCMA chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy. This innovative treatment is used primarily for multiple myeloma.

Who can Zevor-cel help?

Zevor-cel has been approved by the China National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) for indications:

Relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma

Adult patients with relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma who have previously progressed after at least 3 lines of therapy (including a proteasome inhibitor and immunomodulator agent).

Effectiveness of Zevor-cel

The approval of zevor-cell is based on an open-label, single arm, multi-center Phase II clinical trial (LUMMICAR STUDY 1, NCT03975907) conducted in China. The trial results were released at the 2022 Annual Meeting of the American Society of Hematology (“ASH”), and zevorcabtagene autoleucel demonstrated encouraging efficacy and a favorable safety profile.

Where is Zevor-cel provided?

In China, Zevor-cel is only provided at certified treatment centers, these centers/hospitals usually are leading hospitals in the region, where the medical staff are highly skilled in managing lymphoma, and are specially trained to take care of you during the entire CAR T-cell therapy process.

You should plan to stay at the certified treatment center for at least one week following the infusion, and you’ll have several appointments before and after the treatment. Your treatment team will advise you on how close you need to be to a certified healthcare facility during the first four weeks after the infusion.
