On May 11, Fosun Kite, a joint venture of Fosun Pharma, officially launched the first Yescarta CAR T-cell therapy center in Macau, in collaboration with the Kiang Wu Hospital. This marks the entry of China’s first cell therapy product, Yescarta, into Macau, offering new treatment options for patients with hematologic malignancies.
Yescarta was the first CAR-T cell therapy product introduced in China by Fosun Kite in June 2021. CAR-T, or Chimeric Antigen Receptor T-cell Immunotherapy, utilizes the patient’s own immune cells to target and eliminate cancer cells. It represents a cutting-edge cell therapy with significant efficacy in treating acute leukemia and non-Hodgkin lymphoma, and is considered one of the most promising cancer treatments.
The launch of Yescarta in June 2021 marked a pivotal moment for CAR-T therapies in China, initiating a new era in the field of cell therapy and transforming the treatment landscape for lymphoma patients.
